  • Do I have to use the OtO Hose with my OtO Smart Sprinkler?
    No. Your OtO works with any standard 5/8" garden hose, the OtO Hose is not required for your sprinkler to function, and nothing about your warranty or setup depends on it.

    We built the OtO Hose because a hose connected to OtO stays pressurized all season, which is far more demanding than the on-and-off use a normal hose is designed around.

    Many hoses on the market these days only have only brass-plated (not solid brass) couplings. This means they will eventually corrode and fuse to OtO (which has high-quality a brass coupling). We made sure to make the OtO Hose with solid brass couplings which is far more durable and reliable.

    We couldn't find a hose we were confident recommending to customers, so we made one! If you already have a hose you trust, keep using it without worry.
  • Can I use the OtO Hose without an OtO device?
    Yes! It's a standard 5/8" garden hose with solid brass GHT fittings, so it works with any outdoor spigot, nozzle, sprinkler, or reel. Plenty of people buy it simply because it's a better hose.
  • Why is the OtO Hose better for OtO than a regular hose?
    Most garden hoses aren't designed for the specific demands of staying connected to OtO. The OtO Hose is.
    • Built for sustained pressure – Unlike many expandible hoses, it's reinforced to handle long periods under pressure, with 600 PSI burst strength for added durability.
    • Less prone to splitting and separation – Its layers are permanently bonded to help prevent the delamination and wear that can shorten the life of hoses.
    • Solid brass connections – Many hoses use aluminum or (gasp) sneaky brass-plated couplings that can corrode and seize onto OtO over time. Solid brass couplings not only prevent that permanent connection, but they also are crush-proof.
    • Better flow, better reach – Expandable and narrow hoses can restrict water flow. The OtO Hose uses a wide 5/8" low-friction interior to help OtO achieve its best possible watering reach.
    • Designed to look better in your yard – The OtO Hose's warm sandstone finish matches OtO and looks beautiful in any landscaping.
  • Is it safe for drinking water?
    No. Like most garden hoses, the OtO Hose is made for irrigation and outdoor use, not for drinking, filling water bottles, or filling pet bowls. If you need a drinking-water-safe hose, for an RV, a camper, or potable water, look for one specifically certified for it.
  • Does it come with a warranty?
    Yes. The OtO Hose is backed by a 2-year warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship.
  • What if I am not satisfied with it?
    Try it risk-free for 30 days. If it's not right for you, contact us for a refund - no return shipping required.
  • Can I cut it to length?
    We don't recommend cutting the OtO Hose. Doing so voids the warranty as it removes the factory crimp that keeps the fitting securely sealed under pressure.
